Saint-Victor church - Gonthier housing

The Saint-Victor Church site in the Mercier – Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough has been completely revitalized to become a multi-purpose infrastructure. An impressive and noble project, both in its architecture and in its functions.

Thirty-six dwellings intended for families and individuals with low and modest incomes were built. The Gonthier housing cooperative has also partnered with the non-profit organization Le PAS de la Rue for the development of two complementary projects: a new building of forty units accommodating single people aged 55 and over risking homelessness, as well as the conservation of part of the church to transform into a day center.

The P-55 EvolutionTM curtain wall system is ideal for this type of project, thanks to its outstanding soundproofing and insulating properties. Phantom opening vents from series 1100 provide good ventilation, staying in line with the clean and modern look of the building. Folding glass Doors, series 2755, are sturdy and durable. They offer a lot of versatility to community spaces.
